Artist Statement:

Big horn sheep are well equipped to scale steep cliffs and are perfectly camouflaged against the rock formations of their natural habitat. This ram stands proud, with it's weathered and worn horns, as it gazes across it's domain.

Materials: Tsukineko inks, cotton fabrics, batik fabrics, sheer fabrics, lace, thread

Artist Statement:

This is a raw edge fabric collage. The barn owl is made with Tsukineko inks on muslin, then hand appliqued to the background. I used lace, sheer fabrics, and other fibers for the texture on the tree and leaves. Owls are masters of camouflage and are expert hunters. This owl is set in it's natural habitat.

Peeka, is our grand-puppy, and a mix of Yorkshire Terrier and Pomeranian. She loves to lay on top of our flowers in the garden. I used floral fabrics for this collage, as she is our garden princess.

Artist Statement:

I was inspired by a photo by John Coccozza, of an off shore wave at sunrise at Sunset Cliffs, San Diego, CA. While standing in front of this piece, you feel the power of this wave,... feel the wave! Lace was added for the water spray and droplets.

Artist Statement:

This piece is a raw edge fabric collage made with traditional and tribal Hawaiian fabrics. It is made in the form of a Manta Ray, which swims in the ocean around the Hawaiian Ilands, I wanted to highlight the beauty of the fabrics and pay tribute to this magnificent ray.
